PROFESOR/A DE ESPAÑOL

Renaissance School is seeking a part-time Spanish instructor. The candidate should be hands-on and energetic with a passion for global connectedness. Candidate should be comfortable teaching in an interdisciplinary setting with faculty collaboration.  The ideal candidate should have an advanced degree and experience in the field, as well as classroom experience.  An ability to teach beyond traditional high school level curriculum is a must.

DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS AND MARKETING

Renaissance School is seeking a driven, organized, motivated, and experienced candidate to lead our admissions and marketing program.  The Director of Admissions and Marketing position is a new full-time position at Renaissance School. This role will examine, define, and conduct our admissions process and promote our school to prospective students and their guardians.  This candidate will oversee promotional activities, schedule and conduct tours and interviews, and design information sessions and open houses. The Director of Admissions and Marketing will help establish and update our procedures and criteria, work with potential students to determine their eligibility, and oversee the admissions process. 

The Director of Admissions and Marketing should be committed to promoting Renaissance School, understanding our school’s history, and attracting academically and artistically motivated candidates.  This candidate should be engaging, highly organized, and analytical with exceptional communication skills.  

Director of Admissions and Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Working with area middle schools to find strong student candidates.
  • Assisting in the admissions decision-making process as student applications are evaluated and accepted or denied.
  • Providing clear communication to parents, students and guardians with information regarding admissions requirements and processes, financial aid applications, enrollment issues, or other procedures.  
  • Engaging in the recruiting process by planning, coordinating, and overseeing promotional events, campus tours, student interviews, and other admissions activities.
  • Reviewing and interpreting student information, including test scores, extracurricular activities, and grades.
  • Communicating changes, statistics, and other information to the Head of School.

Director of Admissions and Marketing Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years experience in education or admissions
  • Understanding of statistics, admissions requirements and procedures, school funding, and financial aid application processes
  • Experience with independent school admissions is a plus
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information and data
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, networking, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Marketing experience is also an advantage

ACADEMIC DEAN

Renaissance School is seeking an organized candidate with strong written and verbal skills to serve as Academic Dean.  The Academic Dean position is a part-time position at Renaissance School (with a full-time option if coupled with teaching).  This role helps in developing academic programs, as well as other administrative functions. The Academic Dean helps coordinate student activities, works with faculty on curriculum development, provides academic counseling or advising to students and faculty, and advises the Head of School on academic matters.  The Academic Dean must have the ability to improve school programs, monitor policies, and grow with the school. The Academic Dean must also have strong skills in written and verbal communication, organization, developing and implementing goals, managing resources, strategic planning, and interdisciplinary scholarly skills.   

Academic Dean Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in academic administration or related setting
  • A proven track record as a leader, teacher, and public servant in a variety of settings
  • Teaching experience
  • Experience with independent school administration is a plus
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information and data
  • Experience in working with CollegeBoard 
  • An understanding of the college admissions process
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, networking, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers
